Caring for Your Towels

A little care goes a long way. Follow these simple steps and your Texcraft towels will stay soft, fluffy, and absorbent for years.

Care guide for your Texcraft towels: wash in cold water, tumble dry low heat, wash separately, do not over dry, do not use bleach, do not iron

The Details

1 Wash in Cold Water

Use a cold or 30°C cycle. Cold water cleans thoroughly while protecting the cotton fibers and keeping colors vivid.

2 Tumble Dry, Low Heat

Low heat fluffs the terry loops and keeps towels soft. High heat scorches the fibers over time and leaves them feeling rough.

3 Wash Separately

Towels shed lint, so wash them apart from clothing. Run new darker colors on their own for the first few cycles to avoid any color transfer.

4 Don’t Over-Dry

Pull towels out while still slightly damp, or use a sensor cycle. Over-drying weakens the cotton and reduces absorbency.

5 Skip the Bleach

Bleach breaks down cotton and fades color. For a brightness boost on whites, reach for an oxygen-based brightener instead.

6 Don’t Iron

Ironing flattens the loops that make a towel soft and absorbent. Straight from the dryer, they won’t need it.

Pro Tips

Wash before first use

A first wash removes any manufacturing residue and unlocks full absorbency from day one.

Go easy on detergent — skip the softener

Fabric softener leaves a coating that repels water over time. Use about half the detergent you would for clothes and skip the softener for the fluffiest, most absorbent result.

Refresh with vinegar

Every so often, run a wash with half a cup of white vinegar and no detergent to strip buildup and bring back softness and absorbency.
